What if people won’t watch? What if people don’t think I’m funny? What if I make money doing this? What if, What if, What if?
This is the conversation my husband and I had this weekend. He has wanted to start a twitch stream since we got married in 2013. I was excited and on bored trying to encourage any way possible. I bought him a green screen that Christmas and everything. He was ready to go… but what happened?
Fear Interupped
It has been four years since this dream in his heart started. In that time all of the “what if’s” created a fear that gripped his dream and held him back. Fear of the unknown is crippling. But we as a couple are at this place in our life where we have been reflecting on Our Choices vs. Our Dreams.
His dream is to be an RN and internet sensation with his love of WoW.
My dreams are to travel the world helping people.
Neither of us have taken up the courage to stomp on fear as a spring board that launches us into our dreams with both feet anchored in trust and risk.
You see we would be so much happier in life is we stopped working to live and starting living to experience life.
So this weekend as my husband started his twitch channel finally he started asking the what if’s again. I was able to say that I have learned a great deal through this blog.
- You can’t win if you don’t start
- Don’t fear the what if’s.. just go for it
- There is always someone out there who wants to know more about you
- Life is abundantly better doing what I love vs. what I can

I had a similar dream to vlog and then I got taken advantage of in some business deals. I bought the camera and plunged myself into debt, and did a really lousy job of vlogging regularly. I’ve been climbing out of the debt pit, and this is my opportunity to start vlogging again.

Yes, fear is False Evidence Appearing Real and a case of the what ifs can stop you dead in your tracks. Just do it (sorry Nike) and make adjustments along the way, at least you’re doing something. Great topic!

I read this earlier and thought a lot about it during the day. If we made more of our decisions out of love than fear, how much better would we all be? This is one of my favorite pieces of yours.

I went through the same questions when I had a big inter- school debate speech but after a lot of thought I went for it. I was not the best but I can surely say that it was the best moment of my life.
